My neighbor planted it because she didn't like the view of my daughter's tree house from her driveway; so she planted a bunch of bamboo stands to screen out the view.
At first I was upset about her planting it on my property without my permission. Bamboo can be such a nuisance plant. But then I just let it go and figured that if I didn't want it at some point I could just get rid of it.
Well, my daughter is completely psyched about having bamboo next to her tree house -- so much

torrent rips jib's halyard free
bow's plunge scatters mates
death shroud on crested waves lash
into hell's gaping gash on the sea
calm tempest of liquid breath
views life's lingering deeds
cracked splintered tiller frees
thus heaven's promise sinks beneath
floating softness of sail's embrace
wrapped of love's poison caress
moored to angry mast's twisted scream
purgatory's wait for redemption's grace
clear blue scent reawakens a soul
realizing rage and fighting bliss
groping to rail's lifted hope
a mortal recoil of death's soft loll
silent dreaming of hearth's hard stone
dry and fi

Perception is selective.
Dream in your world your own sweet dream;
and leave the rest neglected.
The spirit is the font of life;
for us it's in our care.
Though others may want steal from it;
for us it's always there.
So share the drink of spirit free;
to all who would know love.

All clover earth's and fire's fair;

flows storm's ashen silk
truss tight on golden crown
angel wings channel ends
love's veil lengthens still
pale peach drawn esse
glimpse ivory's milk shaft
knows anger's sharp bite
spoke love's soft caress
delicate springs span grace
heal heart hearth heath
twirl tight strike swift
holds love's strength safe
olive orb pale field
long lash desire's whip
clear seas swell shores
love's rivers despair reap
cave's call rings pure
hears beauty fends foul
delicate notes taste sweet
feels love's whispered air
magic sprite faerie found
lanterns high tree home
current's eddies trace
